History Channel Blessed Mary

Creative director Joel Noble wanted to create an image spot celebrating the canonization of Australis's first saint Mary MacKillop which had a sense of emotional connection with the everyday Australian public. Promo producer Warren Powell interviewed Aussies from all walks of life, to find out what Mary means to them. The resulting audio edit featuring interview grabs, formed the basis for pictureDRIFT to create a typographic animation which highlights the many extraordinary achievements and journeys across Australia. Historic photographs including the first St Josephs Schoolhouse in Adelaide are set within an animated graphic environment referencing iconic Australian wildflowers.
